Last Sunday saw nine paddlers set off from Seacliffe Beach to make the short crossing to the Bass Rock in glorious sunshine. Although it was quite early in the season a good number of gannets had arrived and were busy squabbling over premium nesting spots. But I’m guessing maybe only 1/3rd to 1/2 of the ultimate total! A circumnavigation of the rock was followed by lunch back on the mainland and a leisurely paddle to North Berwick, where certain of our number abandoned their boats to go in search of ice cream!
Paddlers: Billy, Jean, Celia, Paul, Neil, Brian, Stuart, Tim, Sue.
Thanks to Billy, Neil and Paul for the photos.
