For the last couple of months we have been dipping our toe in the water (…no pun intended!) and re-establishing our regular Friday evening sessions at Strathclyde Park Loch. We’ve also had a steady stream of new new people coming along to see what exactly EEKCC is all about, and some have now taken out club memberships.
With the recent sunny weather, our usual rivers are all pretty dry so there’s been no whitewater activity (is it only gardeners and river paddlers that look forward to rain?).
However, re-establishing our club trips is the next priority.
We have a planned Skills Day on Sunday 1st August at Hillend Loch (good quality water) so that new paddlers and regulars can polish up on their capsize, roll, deep water rescues, towing, etc. See the Forum for details.
