Athough we are in Phase 2 of return to paddling, we are still not at a point we can recommence club activities.

Dear Member,
You will be aware that the Scottish Government has now moved to Stage 2 of the lockdown relaxations. We were all hoping that this would allow the club to return to paddling, albeit in some limited form, but the reality is that it has made no difference to us as a club.
Although water sports have been identified as an approved exercise/recreational activity, groups are limited to no more than 8 people in total, and must be from no more than 3 households.
Additionally, travel for exercise and recreation should still be no more than about 5 miles. Our usual Friday night venue of Strathclyde Park Loch remains closed for the time being.
Rest assured that the committee is continually monitoring the situation and discussing what measures we will have to consider to get us all back paddling again.
Notwithstanding all our anxieties and frustrations over the current situation, you will appreciate that as a club we have to ensure that we are able to provide a safe environment for our activities and that we comply with the government guidelines. We will keep you informed of any future developments.
Stay safe & I look forward to meeting you all on the water, in the not too distant future.Regards,
Len(Chairman)
